What's a Fiat 124 Familiare worth?

The Familiare (Estate) version of the original Fiat 124 is relatively rare. After all, the Berline (sedan) and the Spider version were made in large numbers, were the stationcar Fiat 124 was only build in a short time frame and in relatively low numbers.

Now years later, the 124 Familiare is well sought after. Prices are slightly going up.

This website specifically writes about everything Fiat 124 Familiare. The Fiat 124 Familiare is the estate (wagon) version of the popular Fiat 124 sedan. Designed by the Italian manufacturer Fiat. Fiat 124 sedan The Fiat 124 sedan was introduced in March 1966 on the Geneva Motor Show. One year later it was selected as "Car of the year" in The Netherlands and many other countries. A succes was born. Styling appears to be 3-box design, making it roomy. The 124 sedan was praised for its roomy interior, modern suspension, brake discs on all axles and lightweight construction. The technical design was developed under the guidance of Dante Giacosa. The car was propelled by the forcylinder 1.2 litre engine with lower camshaft, delivering 60 horsepower (later to be 65 hp). How to: remove chrome trim on doors

The rubber seals for the sliding door windows were like concrete and all brittle at the 2101 Lada. New rubbers bought at Lada Powerrr did the trick. Since the Fiat 124 Familiare (1969) has exactly the same trim, we probably have to do replace them too in the near future. At Lada Power they sell a seal kit for the 2105. Works like a charm, but for the front seals you have to shorten them (hence at the 2105 there is no triangle shaped window. first you pry the end upwards Getting the chrome strips off - without damaging the paint (or the stainless trim) is a pain in the $%s. But once you know - you know. Then slide backwards when you watch carefully - you can see the 3 "clips" where the trim grips For the rear doors...  removing is the opposite, so there you pry on the front and slide towards the front of the car. How it started

 I'm probably not the only one... that keeps a list of cars "I would like to own" one day. Nothing strange for car-guys right? Of course the obvious suspects like BMW 2002, Ford Escort Mk. 1, and Alpine A110 ...  I have a somewhat quirky taste.   On that quirky list is the Rover 220 turbo coupe, classic Mini Clubman/van and... an good old boxy Lada. The Lada story started with an 1200 in maroon red (21012 to be precise). A relative young example - from first owner build in 1988. Still love that car. both the 2101 Lada & Fiat 124 Familiare And since we like to use our cars for long holidays -  the best upgrade would be an Estate - right? The hunt for an Lada 2102, was a journey of years... Good ones are rare to find. Bad ones also. Most of them are in eastern Europe.... always advertised with 49.000 km's on the speedo (for a 50 year old car   ;-)...  and the paint still wet.  For real money.. And since I'm not 100% stuck on it to be Russia...
